Hi James,
You’re not pestering me at all, I’m actually the one who should be apologizing.
I spoke with immigration, and there’s something strange going on with your file that I couldn’t figure out. I handed it over
to my mentor who’s been at it for 27 years, and he hasn’t seen anything like it either (no charge, by the way, he’s looking
into it as a favor to me).
It’s not that it’s anything bad, it’s that the way the note was put on your file is out of the ordinary, so we’re just trying to
figure out the best avenue to resolve it.
Good news so far is that the request hasn’t been denied as we’re clearing up the “bug”.
Let me know when you’d like your passport back by, and I’ll figure it out from there.
